OneWater - Eau Bien Commun
This school is primarily intended for early-career researchers (PhD candidates and postdoctoral researchers) and offers an interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary immersion designed to learn together, share, discuss, build, experiment, meet, question, listen, and develop a shared culture around water as a common good, by bringing together disciplines, methods, approaches, and perspectives.
Programme highlights
👉 New knowledge on the quantitative and qualitative dimensions of water systems, including surface water and groundwater, freshwater and seawater, and their interfaces
👉 Hands-on experience of interdisciplinarity and transdisciplinarity
👉 Co-construction approaches involving researchers and territorial stakeholders
👉 In-depth reflection on the interdependencies of socio-hydrosystems, in relation to biodiversity, water uses, and management practices
👉 Foundations for understanding data-related issues (observations, measurements, etc.), their management, and their FAIRification
👉 Field-based activities at the Thau Basin observation and study site, including a karstic basin located upstream, allowing participants to confront theoretical insights with field realities and strengthen collective learning
👉 Meetings with territorial stakeholders

Accommodation and meals throughout the entire duration of the Open School are covered by the organization.
