Following its pre-announcement last June, the Water4All 2026 Joint Transnational Call is now officially open. Supported by 32 funding organisations from 30 countries, the call aims to fund research and innovation projects addressing sustainable water management, excluding extreme events and circular economy aspects.

Proposals must address at least one of the call’s four topics: integrated monitoring and assessment for sustainable water management; nature-based solutions for water resilience; smart, secure and adaptive water infrastructures; and resilient water systems through systemic change, policy coherence and inclusive governance. Proposals may address more than one topic.

Consortia must include at least three eligible partners from three different countries, including at least two independent legal entities from two different EU Member States or Horizon Europe Associated Countries. The call also includes a specific modality for Early Career Researchers who obtained their PhD less than ten years ago.

Pre-proposals must be submitted by 10 November 2026 at 3:00 p.m. CET. Applicants selected at the first stage will be invited to submit a full proposal by 6 April 2027 at 3:00 p.m. CEST, with the final selection expected in September 2027.

An international information webinar, held in English, will take place on 17 September 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. CEST, to present the call and answer questions from the research community.
