Preparing for the 2026 Call
The Water4All Partnership has released the pre-announcement of its 2026 Joint Transnational Call, entitled "Sustainable Water Management (excluding extreme events and circularity)".
This call will support research and innovation projects addressing key challenges related to sustainable water management, including Integrated Water Resources Management (IWRM), river basin and groundwater management, water resilience, data monitoring and use, and water-positive solutions. The funded projects are expected to contribute to the implementation of European and international policies promoting sustainable water management.
Proposals should address at least one of the following four topics:
- Integrated monitoring and assessment for sustainable water management
- Nature-based approaches for resilient water management at hydrological and hydrogeological system scale
- Smart, secure and adaptive water infrastructures for sustainable water management
- Resilient water systems through systemic change, policy coherence and inclusive governance
The official call will open on 8 September 2026. An information webinar, held in English, will take place on 17 September 2026, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm (CEST), to present the call topics, eligibility criteria and answer questions from prospective applicants.
