8 December 2022
The programme was showcased alongside three other initiatives, as part of its ‘contribution to innovation to address groundwater issues and accelerate transitions’, during the side event of the same name.
124 participants, over 50 questions put to the speakers and 3 key messages:
- Research and innovation are essential to achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030.
- To ensure sustainable management of water resources and the environment, public policies must be founded on scientific knowledge, support innovation and strengthen the capacity for action of the various stakeholders.
- Encouraging Open Science and Open Data is crucial for developing innovative solutions. Turning data into information and knowledge that is accessible to all is key to drafting policy.
