The Targeted Project Footprint & Sentinel – PC4 explores the uses and potential of the water footprint as a global indicator for assessing the sustainability of socio-hydrosystems and their sentinel role in a context of increasing pressure on water resources.

Following a first phase dedicated to conceptual and methodological reflections, this second workshop, which will take place in Strasbourg on 20–21 November 2025, will mark an important milestone for the project.

It will provide an opportunity to:

  • present the results of the work carried out during Phase 1,
  • open discussions on the scope, priorities, and methodologies of Phase 2,
  • encourage dialogue among researchers and partners, whether or not they participated in the first phase and whether or not they wish to engage in the continuation of the project.

This workshop also aims to enrich discussions by bringing together scientific approaches and operational perspectives, in order to strengthen the relevance and applicability of the work conducted.
